This is my first blog. Hopefully I'll easily get the hang of it.
It's Christmas Day 2008 and I just received Strauch Exotic half size hand cards from my husband for Christmas. How awesome is that!
I pulled out some cashmere that I got at Flock n Fiber in Canby, Oregon at least two if not three years ago. I never new what to do with it as it was one big glob. So, I googled "hand carding cashmere" on the internet and promptly found something that might prove useful.
As I was reading, the person that wrote the blog sounded familiar to me. (I had not read her profile yet). First I saw that I had the righ carders! That was good! Then I continued to read and it said "my husband, Ed, made some bamboo spindles..." That was good too as I happen to have just bought a bamboo spindle from Wanda and Ed Jenkins... How about that, the picture looked just like my spindle. Ok, now I was very interested and quickly scanned the rest of the blog and low and behold it was Wanda Jenkins' blog! Not only do I have the right equipment, a friend of mine wrote the blog. How fun!
I have only met Wanda on the phone but took an instant liking to her! Her and her husband have the (in my opinion) best products available to hand spinners and knitters alike. If you have never tried their products, look them up! They will be well worth your time. I have their spindles available for sale in my shop too! I only want to sell the best, of course!
Anyway, I thought I would join this fun blogging experience since I have never done it before. It looks like I'll find lots of useful information and possibly some friends too.
Happy Spinning,
Linda
